Dr Randy Pausch: The Last Lecture

I was sadden to hear the news that Dr Randy Pausch passed away on July 25th.

Randy Pausch, a professor at Dale Carnegie Mellon University, has become famous for his Last Lecture. This lecture was given to his students after Randy found out he was terminally ill with cancer.

The video of his lecture, Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams, has been viewed by many millions around the world. If you haven't seen it it's definitely worth a look.



When I watch this video I can't help but marvel at Randy's optimism and composure. His vitality defies the fact that he is going to die very soon.

What must it be like to know your time is so limited? How must it be to face the fact that you'll never see your children growing up?

Randy Pausch was a man who lived life to the full, as the Last Lecture video shows. It's an inspiration to witness him continuing to live with passion right to the end.
